As a Project Surveyor, you act as the technical representative of the Survey department within project teams. You are responsible for maintaining technical control and ensuring that all survey activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in line with client requirements, project deliverables, and company standards. Working closely with the Project Manager and reporting to the Lead Project Surveyor, you provide technical support throughout the full project lifecycle, from preparation to execution and close-out.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project scope, objectives, technical requirements, and deliverables
Prepare, review, and maintain all required project survey documentation, including project execution plans, risk assessments, bridging documents, and quality and HSE plans
Actively participate in client clarification meetings, kick-off meetings, HIRA sessions, operational meetings, and project mobilisations
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the correct selection and availability of survey equipment and qualified personnel
Provide continuous technical support and guidance to offshore teams and vessels during project execution
Support the Project Manager in survey-related contract interpretation, change management, and variation orders
Perform quality control and technical reviews of mobilisation, operational, and field reports to ensure compliance with project and company standards
Serve as a technical advisor within the project team, identifying risks, proposing solutions, and supporting decision-making
Capture and document technical lessons learned and contribute to post-project evaluations and process improvements
Provide technical input during tender and sales phases, and liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors as required
Promote and uphold QHSE standards, ensuring that identified risks are properly communicated and managed throughout the project
A strong technical background in survey operations and project environments
Experience with navigation, geophysical, and subsea survey equipment and software
Exposure to offshore projects within renewables and/or oil & gas
Excellent command of English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
Basic knowledge of CAD/GIS software
