In search of a Logistics Coordinator
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to build, lead, and operate a solid logistics team within a fast-paced, 24/7 offshore and international environment. This role is critical to day-to-day operations, where time, compliance, and cost efficiency are key.
The Logistics Coordinator will provide pragmatic, compliant logistics solutions to internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless movement of goods across our fleet while adhering to international customs regulations and trade controls. The role combines hands-on operational involvement with department development and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee international and offshore logistics operations, including urgent, last-minute and time-critical shipments.
Play a key role in daily operations, remaining hands-on while contributing to longer-term logistics strategy.
Handle and advise on correct customs and transit procedures.
Ensure full compliance with customs legislation, international trade laws, and local regulations in multiple jurisdictions. (eg license management).
Act as the primary point of contact for customs authorities, freight forwarders, brokers, and regulatory bodies in case of discussions.
Build and continuously improve a central logistics department that provides expert support and solutions to other internal departments and external partners.
Identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement within logistics processes.
Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and operational excellence.
Contribute to budgeting, cost control, and supplier performance management.
What do we expect from you?
Experience in international logistics, preferably in offshore is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of customs procedures, including temporary export, re-import, and transit documents.
Experience with handling dual-use goods and export control regulations is an advantage.
Familiarity with customs reporting requirements and audit readiness.
Experience working in a high-pressure, time-critical, 24/7 operational environment.
Prior experience leading a small team; comfortable with team growth over time.
