You will be part of the Legal Team at group level. You will be responsible for your own projects and support the business within a wide range of areas including commercial/maritime contracts, acquisitions, procurement/suppliers, intellectual property and other corporate legal aspects.
You will be working in an international environment where your tasks will include:
You will be responsible for negotiating and managing a diverse range of business contracts relating to on- and offshore survey projects and/or asset support.
You will advise on legal risk and liabilities associated with such contracts and how to manage these.
You will liaise with your colleagues in the legal, regulatory and business teams to provide and coordinate appropriate support.
You will provide general legal support to project companies and other group entities.
You proactively review business documents and procedures for compliance with applicable conditions and regulations.
You take care of the legal secretariat (corporate housekeeping) of the various companies within the group.
You follow the latest developments in the field of (international) legislation and case law (public procurement, economic law, contract law, privacy, etc.).
You are part of a dynamic legal team and report to our Lead Counsel Legal.
You have a master’s degree in law.
You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a lawyer or as an in-house legal counsel in the construction / real estate industry.
You have minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience as a corporate/commercial lawyer with a reputable firm and/or a legal department of an international company. Having experience in dealing with BIMCO, LOGIC and/or FIDIC agreements is an asset.
You have experience/interest in contract management, commercial contracts and business law in general.
You have the ability to manage several things at the same time without losing oversight.
You have good diplomatic and social skills and enjoy building relationships with stakeholders.
You are a team player and possess a high level of integrity.
You have an analytical mindset and can communicate advice and ideas, with respect for the business reality, to colleagues with a different educational background.
You have good social skills and can work efficiently in a team.
