In search of a Hydrographic Surveyor for our day projects
As a Surveyor for our day projects, you will be responsible for:
Preparing and planning surveys to collect data on seabed characteristics and topography.
Calibrating and checking survey equipment to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
Collecting data on board our own survey vessels, including daily reporting and using various survey instruments for seabed studies.
Performing quality checks and, if necessary, processing survey data. You will analyze and interpret data to create maps, charts, and reports.
Supporting various projects by collaborating with colleagues to plan and execute projects safely and efficiently.
Complying with safety procedures and ensuring a safe working environment.
Carrying out tasks in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
What do we expect from you?
You have at least one year of experience with multibeam and/or singlebeam surveys.
You have knowledge and skills in data acquisition, processing, and interpretation (Qinsy and/or NavAQ).
You possess a category B driving license; a BE license is a plus. If necessary, we can explore options to obtain it together.
Your base of operations is Ostend, with a work area covering the Flemish ports (Nieuwpoort, Ostend, Zeebrugge) and the Western Scheldt (Breskens, Vlissingen, etc.).
You have a good command of English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
You have a positive team spirit and a methodical, flexible mindset with attention to detail.
