As a Hydrographic Surveyor , you will be responsible for carrying out hydrographic surveys to collect data of the seabed. Your main tasks include:
Preparation and planning of hydrographic surveys.
Installation of equipment, such as multibeam, single-beam, sidescan, sediment sounders,...
Calibration and verification of hydrographic equipment to ensure qualitative and reliable data collection.
Data collection, daily field reports, analysis and interpretation of data to create charts, plans and technical reports.
Assisting colleagues on ongoing operations.
Planning and executing surveys safely and efficiently.
Advising on geophysical- and hydrographic matters to ensure quality and accuracy of data.
Ensuring that the safety procedures are known and followed to maintain a safe working environment.
You obtained a degree in hydrography or geology.
You had a first, relevant working experience.
You can process and interpret date.
You have developed knowledge and skills in survey methods and equipment.
You obtained a driver's licence (B96 or BE is a plus).
You can work in a team and are flexible.
You speak and write fluently French and English.
If you have a STCW95 Basic Safety Training certificate, that is a plus.
