The Electrical Technician operates within the Innovation Team.
As an Electrical Technician, you play a critical role in assembling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and components for our unmanned surface vessels.
You are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components on unmanned surface vessels (USVs).
You will diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques, ensuring smooth operations.
Regular inspections and preventive maintenance to guarantee the reliability and safety of electrical systems fall under your purview.
Collaboration with engineers and other technicians is crucial as you design and implement electrical system upgrades and modifications.
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations for marine electrical systems is a key aspect of your role.
Your assistance in integrating new technologies and components into existing USV platforms is highly valued.
Your adeptness in interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals is essential for efficient problem-solving.
Accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities is expected from you.
You will actively participate in field deployments and sea trials as required, contributing to the advancement of our projects.
An associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Marine Technology, or related fields is required, though a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
At least 3 years of experience as an electrical technician, ideally in maritime or defense industries, is necessary.
You should possess a deep understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
Proficiency with electrical diagnostic tools and software is essential.
Familiarity with marine electrical systems and standards (e.g., ABS, DNV, IEC) is expected.
Competence in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation is vital.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are key attributes.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills are a must.
You must be able to work effectively both in workshops and aboard vessels, including at sea.
Willingness to travel for field deployments and sea trials is required.
