In search of a Data Processor - GIS Specialist
As a Data/GIS Processor, you ensure that data processing is carried out according to the company’s established standards and procedures.
Your responsibilities:
Communicate effectively and report any issues encountered during processing.
Process data according to project specifications and correct any errors.
Collect, understand, and interpret the data acquired by the hydrographers.
Identify and flag data that does not meet quality criteria.
Understand and validate reports and equipment tests prior to survey operations.
Be responsible for all stages of data processing and ensure proper documentation.
Create charts and maintain the database using dedicated software.
Deliver all requested project outputs as required by the client.
Comply with the company’s health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
What do we expect from you?
You hold a degree in hydrography, geography, geology, or an equivalent field.
You have knowledge of bathymetry and the ability to quickly learn new software tools.
You have a good understanding of geodesy, coordinate systems, and positioning systems.
You have a good understanding or experience with MBES/SBES processing (preferably with autoclean tools).
Basic knowledge of ArcGIS for creating databases and charts.
Knowledge of QGIS and AutoCAD is a plus.
You are fluent in both English and Dutch, spoken and written.
You enjoy working in a team environment.
