As Chief Surveyor Robotics at GEOxyz, you take the technical lead in our robotic survey operations, with a strong focus on AUV and ASV/USV activities. You combine operational responsibility with technical leadership and support our offshore teams and project personnel throughout the different phases of project execution. You act as a technical point of reference for autonomous survey systems and help ensure that our robotic survey operations are carried out safely, efficiently and consistently. You provide technical guidance during project planning, mobilization, offshore execution, troubleshooting and post-project reviews.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and provide technical guidance for AUV and ASV/USV survey operations.

• Support the preparation and mobilization of robotic survey projects.

• Provide expertise in navigation, positioning and survey payloads.

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve operational procedures, standards and best practices for robotic survey systems.

• Support Project Managers and Project Surveyors with project preparation, methodology selection, equipment specifications and risk assessments involving robotic systems.

• Provide technical support during offshore execution, troubleshooting and incident investigations.

• Support the integration of new robotic technologies into our survey operations.

• Guide and support surveyors and technicians and contribute to the further development of technical knowledge and competencies within the teams.

• Help ensure that operations are aligned with company procedures, industry standards, client requirements and manufacturer recommendations.

• You have strong experience in hydrographic survey operations and a good understanding of offshore survey activities.

• You have practical experience with autonomous systems, preferably AUV and/or ASV/USV operations.

• You are comfortable combining hands-on operational knowledge with technical leadership.

• You are able to guide surveyors and technicians and communicate technical information clearly.

• You take initiative, think practically and enjoy solving technical and operational challenges.

• You are interested in new technologies and in continuously improving the way autonomous survey systems are used.
